This tutorial is an easy and short way of creating a rainbow. Lets see how we can create one in five minutes.
Make seven equal stripes as shown below…
…and provide them with some decoration.
Add some starts to the stripes.
Let's group all the objects together...
Then, navigate to Object > Envelope Distort > Make with Warp.
A dialog box will appear. You can select here any style for your rainbow. I selected "Flag" style. You can get different variations of the shape by changing "Band" and "Distortion" value.
